View Full Version : Evga 762 and X5670 Problem

I was running a 990x in my 762 no problem. Switched it out to test my X5670. Installed cpu, cleared cmos. Start system it just sits at FF. Put cpu in my R3E and it runs fine. Was running latest Bios 78. Switched to Bios 77 and same thing, sits at FF. Any help is appreciated.

Might need to do Westmere mod (http://kingpincooling.com/forum/showpost.php?p=9942&postcount=21) for Classified.

Did you already do the westmere mod or is your board newer with the mod pre-modded by EVGA?

No soldering for me. No good at it. :shakes: Will just wait and put it in my SR-2 as soon as I get the block for it.

You can also use silver conductive pen. It's very easy.
