in my sr-2 build im planing to have 3 580's (parallel connection)
now, far as i know - ek blocks isnt single slot, so my other slot cant be used.
i want to use my other slots for sound card and my Perc5i raid controller.

if i'll go with koolance - i'm solving this problem?
what about performance?

thanks.

i saw some of evga hydro copper cards with one slot cover in back so this could be the way to go.

The SR-2 is setup to use 4 cards in SLI using dual slot coolers. No need to go single slot per gpu.

The EK blocks are single slot. I have my WiFi card mounted in between two cards with EK blocks. I just got the Koolance single slot brackets.

Here is what the wireless card looks like.

the WIfi card is thin.
i want to install other hardware between the GPU's
i got system with dual HD4850, and they're need more then 1 slot.
is koolance block is thinner then the ek?
i'm not worried about the single bracket right now, i'll get them soon - but i need the correct blocks.

thanks

you could always buy the hydro editions from EVGA. your wifi and audio cards are always the last things to put on your board. you should have enough slots so why worry dual slots? i guess if you want to go for single its your choice for koolance no problem here

i'm planing on 3way SLI,
between the 580 i want to install audio card, and maybe single slot air cooled physx card.
the last X16 slot will be used for my water cooled raid controller.

MSI has a GTX 580 with a Heatkiller block on it. Looks like you'd be able to use the adjacent slot.

sure sounds like a beastly computer.

my question is why all those? watercool a raid controller?

boy your going all out hopefully you dont create a tumor taking it all out when something happens. which i hope it doesn't

going a little too far but hey nothing like going Xtreme

AquaComputer makes very thin block designs for GPU's. Check them out.
