I ordered from PTS in mid-january, and spent about 40 bucks there not including shipping on water cooling stuff. I bought 2 yate loon fans, among other things, and I selected the option to receive the fan screws as well. I was charged for them and everything, but when the box gets here, no fan screws. Whatever, no big deal, mistakes happen. Sent them an email January 27th, asking about the fan screws. They reply with this.

Dear Leo
I will review our packing log to see if the screws were in the package when we shipped it.
I'll email you shortly.

2 days later, still nothing, I email them again, no reply. Haven't heard from them since then. It's not that big a deal, since it's only like 50 cents, but seriously, this is outrageous. It could happen to someone else with something more expensive, so watch out.

Edit: To top it all off, they even removed the section saying "new phone number coming soon." Now there's just one email address.

I lol'ed so hard when I saw this, why not just order through Sidewinders?

Everyone knows PTS is dead (well, not dead, you can still order from it) after he sold it to Gary. Quite possibly you missed the part about his wife going into labor and him being a dad now as well. (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=266332)

No need to jump to conclusions.

if he order mid jan, then he should have gotten his stuff because i believe his wife didn't have her baby till the end of jan.

one thing im annoyed at is he didn't say orders would be delayed here but told his "lovers"

Well, him and XS staff as well as a few others had a big falling out, he is not :welcome: here by a lot of people that are active in our community.

Mid January could mean anywhere from the 5th to the 25th, who knows? I still don't understand why people buy things from PTS if most of the items are also listed at the same price on Sidewinders...Gary is more concerned about Sidewinders I'm sure. Also, he was affected by the blizzard, as he says he wasn't able to even leave his home for two days.

sure he did have a big falling out, but if he has such good customer service he should go out on every forum he has an account on and put out a notice saying things may be delayed a week or so, instead of pissing people off because they are wondering where inn the hell there package is by not saying anything at all

Petras had such a good thing going, at least from the customer perspective. Maybe they were'nt making enough to keep it going like it was.

Petras is top notch not sure why the bashing is going on. I haven't purchased from them for a few years but they used to give me hand written thank you notes when I did.

That said Im a little confused why this thread is in the builders relations section since this is for phase cooling.

There were lots of factors that went into the sale--some of them I can talk about and some I can't. Knowing what I know now, however, I should have handled things differently. Hindsight is 20/20... live and learn, I suppose.
