I finally ordered everything last night as I was waiting for the gtx 560ti to come out.

Asus p67 pro
2500k sb
gskill 4gb 2133 cl7 ddr3
msi gtx 560ti
Western Digital Caviar Black TB
Corsair force 120gb ssd
HP blu ray drive
Asus dvd 24x burner
Nzxt phantom case
Civilization V Game

I almost went with a gtx570 and an 2600k but that would of been another 210 and not really worth the extra money.

What are you doing for cooling?

Looks like a real nice build with nice quality components.

Im going to use my old 700watt psu and see what I can get with stock cooler before using my water setup I have on my q6600

No matter how good they make the 1155 CPUs, it's still a limited platform RAM and Pci-Ex wise like 1156 was. That and not needing/wanting 8 core or the expense of 2011 is why I passed on Sandy Bridge all together and opted for 1366 and X58. I think 1366 will continue to be popular for some time.

Well I bought this as a bang for the buck build. The cpu and board was 390 and I can always go i7 down the road also.

You must have a really bad chip since these turbo to 3.7ghz stock. If I get 4ghz ill be more than happy.

very nice.... what color Nzxt did you pick?

just remember if you want the extra top and side 200mm fans they HAVE to be nzxt (there own hole pattern) also i pulled out the 2nd HDD cage thought i would need the room with the ax1200 but really didn't.

my x58 rig is in a cosmos black, think thats why i went with white. Great choice....dollar for dollar nothing can touch sandy bridge right now( watch most everyone that will say different is using at least a 970 ;) ) .....if you are going to bring your water over the 2600k headroom is worth it...probably more then the SSD right now with the new rev. coming in April.

I can't wait to get this up and running,SB basically got me back into overclocking.I got alot out of my asus 775 setup starting with a single core, then going to dual and then finally getting the q6600 and got that from 2400mhz to 3800mhz

I skipped everything after socket 775 and never really cared for 1366 or 1156 or even ddr3 untill now that people were seeing 5hgz on sandy bridge, worst case I can buy a new board and new cpu later on since the major upgrade for me was the video card and the ssd drive along with cl7 2133 ddr3 ram

I'm with you. I got rid of my Q6600 water cooled rig and downgraded to e8500 dual on air. Told myself I would not return to a enthusiast rig until I start seeing 5GHZ as a mostly common overclock. I think we are there!

I like you choice of components for a good solid midrange build.

Id have taken a WD Green instead of the black, as far as you have a 120gb SSD for SO and games. But well I like it :)

I just noticed that I mised another promo code on my hard drive,I would of saved another 10 dollars.

Does that green drive have 4.2ms and run at 7200rpms with 64mb cache? It was only 89 and has a 10 dollar code on it so It can be had for 79 now.
