Dell Case modding any do it?

Alright so I came across a computer case here for a Dell 2400. Appears to be a M-ATX case so thats great for my next build. However the front of the case is so horrid. I like a flat front case. nothing stupid just plain.
For example: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=265167 I'm still looking for this case if anyone knows what it is.

So what are my options here? Is there any easy options or does anyone know if their is any front cases for sale that would match this case so I didn't have to use the front. Or anyone ever take a case to I dunno a metal shop and get a front designed? (If this costs more than $20) prolly not worth it.

I mean it seems like an alright size of a case I'm going to have to find someone to drill a hole in the top of the case for a 92 or 120mm fan though. Gaming rig I don't want it getting too hot in there.

If in doubt I'm gonna paint it and give it to the gf or something

The Dell cases I have had experience with, which has been quite a few, are not ATX friendly. You might get the motherboard out to find out that the mounting holes will not match your store-bought motherboard.

I have seen a few that I could stick another motherboard in, but it was more luck I think than compatibility.

If you can confirm it will work, then you have other issues to worry about. Personally it doesn't make sense to me. Buy a $20 Rosewil case from Newegg and mod that--it will be more suited to cooling and mounting your hardware.

Having one of those sexy XPS cases, a XPS 435T/9000, they are nice
looking but thats where it stops.

Now other halfs rig.
Very proprietary machines:down:

Was going to change out the MB but with all the problems to do it
not worth the money and trouble.

Start with a new case and doesn't have to be expensive.
Here's mine at around $100.00 and results.

Speaking of Dell cases, I opened up one today for someone. It's like they go out of their way to make things difficult on the end user. The motherboard had a layout I have never even seen before. Bottom line: every time have have to work on a Dell for someone I cringe.

Also still have two old Dell's in a closet a V350&R450 which believe
were also BTXs.

Back then took them from 350&450 to 1gig&1.3gig using I-will slockets.
Dell said we couldn't do it but we did.
Only problem was the 100&133 front sidebus limitation.
Pinouts proprietary.

On our XPS 9000 was told by a Dell rep when first came out the Bios
was not locked and memory speed could be increased.
Both not true.
Dell leave a bad taste in my mouth.

I like Dell case for 1 reason, it opens up easy with that little lever in the back
My normal cases are a centurion and a 690. So this is lol a little under standard but thought it might have potential. One thing I will say it's heavy as crap for its size
