I cannot seem to find temps for sandy bridge procs at stock speeds anywhere.
at 3.4 (no speedstep) under water, I'm getting:
idle: 30ish on all codes
prime95: 45-55 pretty big spread across my cores
it also feels really high for not overclocked
I think my block might be gunked up, any ideas?

yea those load temps are high. with my loop i hit 50c after 1 hour linx and prime 95 small ffts with the 2600k @ 4.5 ghz 1.275v
the latest realtemp will give you correct temps.
sent from my ipod :)

Yep, realtemp gives me the same numbers. as soon as I start prime95 my 3rd core hits 50 >.<
I'm using a 775 cooler on my asrock board (it supports them) but I dont think thats the problem. It started to get warm after a while on my q6600 too, so I'm lead to believe there's an obstruction in the block.

What about your room temp?

I'm seeing similiar temps as the OP.
2600k @4.5, 1.3v
Apogee GTZ, 360 Rad
30-34 idle
55-59 load
room temp about 21c

Room temp is 20c. its the delta of 20c that scared me.
When I pulled the block apart, there was a small piece of rubber stuck right in the middle. I'm not sure it caused all the problems though... guess we'll find out in a few.
