$570 shipped for a refurbished unit. I'm wondering though, how much more would you guys be willing to pay for an IPS panel (305T is PVA). I've only used TNs up until now, is the output when sitting head on noticeably better?

Go for it, the monitor's pretty decent, and the pricing is great.

it's actually pva though. Any subjective differences?

PVA is slower than IPS. Not sure if that's critical for you. Contrast's better, though.

Am i going to notice delay between when I begin strafing on the keyboard and my screen in an FPS shows me strafing?

IPS is generally higher-quality than PVA variants, though that also means they're more expensive. However in day to day use you won't notice much difference between them

That's input lag, not response time (that I mentioned earlier). You'd have to read some reviews to find out if there's significant input lag, it depends on the particular model.
That being said, PVA monitors are usually subpar for gaming, since they are fairly slow.

Appears to be in good shape. And I didn't notice any input lag, mind you I was just playing Portal for a few minutes but try as I might, I couldn't get the sense that the screen was lagging behind what my mouse movements were.

Nice mate nice! Should boot up both screens so you can really see the difference :)
