I'm deciding between a fortron FSP-550 and FSP-530. which one would you guys recommend? also, which one has pots for tweaking?

well i noticed someone mentioned the 550 was for servers don't know if it will make a difference but the 530 should do fine i ordered 2 from newegg and im awaiting them this week.

If you get the 550 and don't have a Xeon server you'll need a 24 to 20 pin and an 8 to 4 pin adapter.

Plus, with the 550 you get

+3.3V -> 27A
+5.0V -> 29A
+12V CPU -> 18A
+12V I/O -> 18A

(yes, two 18A 12v leads, or 36A on the 12v)

Instead of

+3.3V -> 28A
+5.0V -> 40A
+12V -> 18A

On the 530

If you need more 12v and less 5v then I guess it would be worth getting the 550.

36 amp on the 12v:eek: for $85 bucks. Hmm must look for adaptor. Hope there's adjustments inside.

Tedinde - Dealsonic has the adaptors available when you purchase the 550.

you do lose a bit on 3.3 and alot on 5 though.

Sparkle 550 watt I recieved came with the adapters already included

i had a 430 watt psu sparkle that came with the 24pin instead of 20pin and all I did was cut away the extra 4 and plug in the 20pin and it work fine so you might be able to leave out the adapter
