Dug my grave (deeper) by picking up 3 x Evga GTX 470 SCs from my usual source of "accidental wins". At any rate had never thought of going multi monitor as I have been more busy building and breaking systems than using them. :yawn:
However......... with the above GPUs in the stable and a move coming that will get me down to just one maybe two running systems got another wild hair.

So to filll the hole with me in it - Replace my old dell 24" (these are based on pricing opportunities only) and was wondering about if I should go with either 2 x 24" (Samsung BX2440X) or one 27" (P2770H)??? Do realize the 24" is an LED unit......:confused:

Also it is to be used for gaming and then the usual stuff.......and will be mated with this

Mobo: MSI NF980-G65
CPU: PII X6 1055T
Memory: G. Skill Trident F3-16000CL9D-4GBTD

Also how does one do FPSs with the two monitors anyway?? Seems to me the bezels will be where you "sight picture" would be? :shrug:

Remember once you start using multiple monitors, you can never go back to a single screen.
that is just the ways it is......

best of luck...

That's what I've heard!!! :shocked:

Well all of the units I've shown are "Referbs" and below is the prices.......but looks like the 20" will win by "default" for gaming (only works with odd numbers) and for fitting on the desk!!!!

27" = $269

24" = $209 x 2

20" = $149 x 3

Looked at 22" but they were as much as the 24" for all intents and purposes!

With trying to justify a 3 x monitor setup I have the same two issues as most……price & space. Something I’ve noticed that when going under 21”, resolution goes from 1920 x 1080 to 1600 x 900p.

So what am I “losing” by dropping to this? :shrug:

ability to play 1920x1080 content at native, and some desktop space.

23" seems to be the sweet spot in regards to pricing nowadays. And it's very true, once you go multiple monitor you never want to go back...AND you start to come up with ways to justify even more.

@jedi how do you like the monitors...
im debating selling my 2 2407's and going something like this for eyefinity...a little cheaper for me and will come faster then another dell 2407 since these monitors still sell for 200-250. I might have to make a few trips to best buy / compusa to play with some screens to get an idea.

@ InCredible, sadly the setup has taken a backseat to "life"! :( However I did manage to set up one and really enjoy the unit all the way around. You might want to keep an eye on newegg as they have been making some neat offers. ;)

yea ive been poking around..im just very nervous that ill be disappointed. Since having these dell spva panels for so long the IQ is very good as well as the viewing angles and using any thing less scares me haha..i think the compusa in my area carries them so i can check them out in person since ive heard good and bad about these..i also know peoples opinions on how something looks differs greatly..i dont THINK im that into video quality but maybe because i have a good setup as is right now..but i would prefer the lower power consumption/heat of led and supposedly the better colors and even backlighting.
