Can some one please explain me why AMD ITX motherboards with PCI-E 16X are so limited? I mean there are so many microATX motherboards on newegg but only one Asus board with PCI-E 16X and it costs twice as much?

I remember everyone was going crazy (including me) over the DFI P55 ITX board.

Here is my build looks like when completed
http://www.hkepc.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=1521852

Sempron 145 "Unlock" 4400e (65W)
J&W GeForce 6150SE-UC3
A-DATA 2GB X2 DDR3-1333 (Micron D9KPT)
eVGA GT430 1GB GDDR3
500 GB Hitachi 2.5" @ Main HDD Bay for 24/7 operation
640 GB WDC Black 3.5" @ Removable HDD Bay
LG 24x DVD Writer SATA
CFI Group A9849CC Mini- ITX Case w/2x Hot-Swappable Bay
Case w/ CWT Group 150W Custom PSU

You can probably swap to another single slot graphic card instead of GT430 :)

For HD Video performance

Pair with ASUS HD3450

If you don't need "extra" graphic power, you can use the onboard graphic (GeForce 6150SE) , bear in mind only D-Sub (VGA) available

I got one of these to rebuild a friends pc when his old mobo died.

imamage, Nice setup!

That is the motherboard I want. I'm still waiting for J&W's email reply.

Are you able to reduce the voltage below stock on that motherboard?

You can always use K10STAT to undervolt the cpu within windows.

I can't seem to find that J&W board anywhere in the states.

I'd love to do an AM3 build and unlock a sempron as it would be overkill for my needs (so no slowdown!), but I seem to be stuck w/ an intel atom set up as heatsinks that are 1.25" or less are almost impossible to find.

I change the Vcore to 1.2V (Stock = 1.35V) in BIOS :D:D

What's bad i sthat there are virtually no microATX boards for AMD as well. And for LGA1366 there also isn't much choice where for lower end CPU's there are plenty of them. Same for upcoming Sandy Bridge. Loads of small boards. Makes me wanna hate the world because of this.

The asus board is pretty much the only AMD mITX with pcie x16 that is cheap. When the older J&W was available, I found it for around $170. Plus, the $125 for the asus mITX is a fairly standard price when you compared to similar intel boards. The h55 zotac board is going for $130 which is similar since it includes wifi. The gigabyte h55n is at $105, but it lacks wifi. I think the asus board is price accordingly.

However, I do agree we need more AMD mITX choices.

I did the Gigabyte H55N-USB3. I too wish it had WiFi, it would then be complete. Need to pick up a USB WiFi adapter but I've just been too lazy and been using a stupid long cat5 cable instead x_x I gave up searching for a decent AM3 mini-ITX board sinceI have a TWKR sitting in a desk drawer that would be overkill for an HTPC.

I stuck a 125w 1055T in an Asus M4A88T-i Deluxe, I know it's only rated for 95watt cpu's and I'm really pushing it, but I wanted a small computer that can do more than HTPC duty. I have it overclocked to 3.5GHz with a slight undervolt (1.325v) Cool n Quit and C1E state are enabled and the system is rock solid stable. When idling the multi drops to 4 for a CPU speed of 1 GHz at 1.18v. I'll let you guys know if the motherboard takes a dump.
