Okies I'm running a Q9550 on a gigabyte EP45T-UD3LR and well in the bios the vcore is set to 1.325V but in CPU-Z it's reading 1.248V or 1.232V so I'm curious to know is there a sensor on the motherboard that detects to vCore voltage like in the old days or is it measured inside the CPU?

Anyone know the answer to this one?

There is no sensor in the CPU to measure VCore.

so How do you know if the measurement is accurate, cause if the voltage is off why not the measurement off as well :S
Related question read about LLC that it can fry 45nm cpu's now my question is it was related to asus, but is gigabyte any better at suppressing the spikes :S.

CPUZ always gives a different voltage reading, and in most cases it's very accurate. To get an accurate voltage reading, you need to use a multimeter; there is no software substitute for that.
