This thread is part of my continued testing of the Jab-tech Yate Loon D12SH-12 fans
original thread seen here: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=260733
I tested several different voltages on the Jab-tech Yate Loon D12SH-12 fans
I used a stand alone adjustable power supply and the motherboards onboard RPM sensor
Minimum Stating voltage was 2.18v, thats right it would start the fan on as little as 2.18 volts
NOTE: there was no CLICKING that I could hear
2291rpm @ 13.5v
2262rpm @ 13v
2213rpm @ 12.5v
2187rpm @ 12v (spec calls for 2200rpm @ 12v +/- 5%, so well with in spec)
2122rpm @ 11.5v
2051rpm @ 11v
2008rpm @ 10.5v
1946rpm @ 10v
1896rpm @ 9.5v
1809rpm @ 9v
1744 @ 8.5v
1679 @ 8v
1596 @ 7.5v
1534 @ 7v
1448 @ 6.5v
1361 @ 6v
although the fan ran just fine at lower voltages I was unable to get an RPM reading
however 7v was near silent at 3 feet away and still moved quite a bit of air
