View Full Version : OSx86 stuck at 1024x768

i want so bad to try and learn mac osx but right now i am stuck at 1024x768 using my Dell 2007WFP monitor.

i have searched and have come up empty handed.
i have found threads about the 1024x768 resolution thingy but never found an answer
anyone at all help me out.

system specs.

Intel D945GCLF2 ITX w/ Intel ATOM 330 & GMA 950 graphics
Dell 2007WFP Monitor native res 1680x1050

there's a way to force the correct resolution by entering something before boot but i cant' remember it off hand. what bootloader are you using? and insanelymac would prolly be a better forum for hackintoshes :)

edit: found the boot flag i was referring to, "Graphics Mode"="WIDTHxHEIGHTxDEPTH" (e.g. "1280x1024x32")

the standard bootup options flag does work but it does not enable hardware acceleration. and thats what i needed.

there are threads in 2 different forums, dont have them now, that tell how to fix it and oddly enough, tinkering with the 2 fixes got it working, but i didnt know it until after i rebooted.
the thrads are spefically written about this specific board so it helps also to read them.

i still am not sure if i have hardware acceleration so i need to test that.

What make and model video card do you have? In my experience, OSX does not do plug and play hardware detection for video cards on hackintosh'ed systems, you need to specify that in your bootloader.
