these are my new temps today morning. i should be seeing around 18 to 20 C ideal. why are the temps high? room temp is 72F.

do i need to redo my cpu blocks again. i am using dual supreme hf nickel blocks.

How can you expect temps to be below ambient unless you have some sort of a chiller? 72F is over 22C.

you should be worried about the load temps :)

I was thinking the same thing LOL... :D

+1, the lowest ACCURATE idle temps you will ever see on core temps with air or water cooling (except active cooling/chilled) is 6-7C above ambient, or ~28-29C with your 22C ambient, because gradient from core to IHS is roughly 6-7C at idle, stock TDP. The only way to get idle temps displayed near ambient, is to buy a cpu that has non-linear, inaccurate DTS sensors at idle, like some of the older 65nm ones that displayed temps near ambient, and apparently some of the newer cpus have bad sensors as well.

Also, if you want to evaluate your cooling, like was previously mentioned, look at load temps. When only cooling low watts at idle, there wont be much difference between air and water.

22C is the lowest you can go there bud w/o some kind of chiller. Good luck

Edit: what's interesting is that one of your cores is reading 18C

those temps actually look pretty good LOL (albeit, they're at idle)

Looks good to me Juan, if you are just using Air and radiators to cool your system. Of course if that is a phase change unit looks pretty bad, but then your in the wrong forum for phase :)
