I'm looking forward to buy universal VGA block so i can use it as long as i could,

able to pin down the selection into koolance gpu-220 or MCW80 Swiftech, and leaning towards gpu-220.

my current vga is Gigabyte GTX 460 1gb version (http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3530)

already asked gabe about the mcw80, and he/she? told me that new rev mounting package will come and definitely fits gtx460.

but, do the gpu-220 will compatible with gtx460?
i try to email them (on their site) and got reply that it might be fit.
is that good enough to buy the blocks?

do anyone have pics for gpu220 or mcw80 mounted to gtx460?

cheers

idk bout the 460, but the gpu-220 fits a 480. I even put the reference design plastic cover back with some minor trimming.

the 220 have a really nice universal holding mechanism.

the MCW60 is classic and theres always some accessory for it if you need to cool ram/vrms, which is becoming more important these last few years.
the koolance also looks a little tricky for installation given shape of the mounting brackets

thx for the input mk, can i get the pic if possible?
do it have straight forward installation without any tricks?

@manicdan
mcw80 improvement up to 4 degree is not a bad deal for $10 extra(ppcs)
but the things that i like in koolance gpu-220 is the nozzle/fitting mounting options

So if I order a MCW80 from swiftnets.com or a reseller today, it will fit a GTX460 (reference PCB)?

like i said it's on my 480 but the block is really easy to mount, you have (long) bolts which have a little screw on the back of the card to hold it in place. And 4 thumbscrew to fix the block to the card though the bolts

here's a crappy pic of the mounting system in place

@mk
thanks for the pic, i kinda missed it(internet acting funny)

anyway, i managed to mount gPU-220 koolance into gigabyte GTX460 1gb version

i need at least 3mmx9/15mm fastener to mount this gpu block

temps for stock setting are 25 degree c idle and 30 degree c fulload

havent try oc it yet though

:shocked: No heatsinks on VRAM?
Maybe I should get this block instead of a fullcover block :clap:

Can you post again in a week with status update? :D

doesn't needed in the 1st place i think, because the stock heatsink only touch the chip, and leave the rest aircooled

in one week? sure :)

yes it cools the ram by air but using a fan on them not passive like you have it...

i'm using air from radiator that blows from the upper holes that i made on the top of the fans :)..
