I've used a PA 120.3 for a while now and recently I took it out for cleaning/upgrading etc. So I cleaned it up and noticed that the separator in the inlet/outlet chamber is not fully sealed, there's a little hole near the edge where it connects with the chamber walls. I guess some of the solder got washed out due to my cleaning or the bad stuff in my waterloop - it was in the same loop with a rusting copper block for a while. There definitely a seepage there (i.e., if I shine light into one part of the chamber, I can see some light from the other - 2nd pic). Now my question is: is this rad ruined or can I continue using it?

It's part of the design, it's fine to use.

oh, glad to hear that, I feared the solder is giving out and gonna wash out gradually :)

If it is leaking, then some JB weld would work to seal it.

I dunno if it's leaking or not, haven't run the rad in a loop yet, but this particular hole is internal, it's not going outside. Thanks for the tip nonetheless.

We've been down this road before, remember "the cheat"?
