If it's main use is gaming, you should be concerned about input lag as well, which some IPS displays like the NEC have lots of. You should put the Dell 3007WFP-HC on your list as well and seriously consider it, IF you can get it.

Have to check that one out! But I think here in finland, dell dont sell directly anything for normal customer.. only for companies  maybe I just order from germany or uk or somewhere :D

Well there ARE still some available. I would not waste any time looking though. Good luck.

I bought a refurbished 30" NEC MultiSync LCD3090WQXi a few months back (H-IPS) and so far, I've had no input lag. If you can get one refurbished, I'd say buy it immediately. I love gaming on it.

If you can see the NEC in person, that would rock because then you can actually see if there's lag.

I'd say as a general rule, NEC > Dell (if not most or all other brands besides EIZO) in terms of image quality & color correctness.

If you want 1600p, get the Dell. If you can deal w/ 160 pixels less horizontally, get the NEC (so long as there's no lag).

NO input lag on an NEC? More like none that YOU noticed. NECs are among the highest due to the processing they use. It's relative to the games and level of competition one plays at though, not to mention eyesight.
