I've got some serious problems running Counterstrike, latest version. I've got the latest Catalyst installed, 3.10. Software mode runs just fine. But when using Direct3D/OpenGL I get black screens all the time, or it just quits to desktop. Some help plz.
I had a serious problem with my 8500 and CS. I called and talked to them about it. They told me that there are "known problems" running CS on ATI cards. I was told there was nothing that could be done other than run in software mode. :rolleyes:

The error that you are getting means that it is time to find a new game to play. ;)
Ok, on a more serious note, half-life had some big issues with ati cards near the beginning of counter-strikes life. They had to release a patch to address that, maybe they need to release another one.
