Hey everyone:)
A friend of mine wants to use 24GB of ram on his UD7 and asked me to help him decide what kits to order.
So i was wondering what ram should he go for ?
Is there is anyone already running 24GB of ram on the UD7 ?
His cpu is a 930 overclocked to 3.36 ghz with 6 gigs of corsair dominators which he will either sell or use in another machine.
I know Corsair , Kingston and G-skill have 24GB kits on sale and was wondering what kit to buy ?

The Corsair 24GB kit

The G-skill Kit

The Kingston Kit

Thanks tons for the help guys !! :)
Cheers :)

if you want to be 100% sure check out the qualified vendor list (QVL) on gigabyte's website.

thank you for the quick help :) I did check the QVL from gigabyte's website and couldn't find much info except for a couple of kingston kits. And those kingston kits in the QVL are tough to find.
I decided to go with the corsair 24GB kit. Corsair's Memory Finder says that the 24GB if fully supported on the UD7.
Cheers and thank you again !
kind regards!

Resurrecting an old thread, but I just installed three G.Skill F3-14900CL9D-8GBXL kits (got them on sale from Newegg) in a GA-X58A-UD7 1.0 board, and they're working fine.

Had to bump VTT to 1.32v and RAM to 1.56v, but they passed running Memtest86 for 6 hours, and LinX for 12 hours.

So, yes, I can say with certainty that 24GB *will* work on this board. Even DDR3 1866 RAM.
