Hey Guys,
I'm adding a new GTX 470 to my single loop and I was interested to know what I can use to squeeze my tubing to stop water moving around while I make some cuts and adjustments. I do not want to drain the whole system....

What can I use to clamp the tubes shut either side of my video cards???

Cheers...

Your fingers

Just kidding :)

Why not just partially drain your loop and refill when you complete work?

How about Mole Grips or G clamps. Either way its very risky.
Better to drain part of the loop than get coolant all over your new card.

If you know what you are doing you can swap parts without draining the whole loop, essentially if you open your loop at one place only a small part of the water will come out if you hold both openings at the right height, then just connect the new block, fire up pc and after roughly a minute refill res, don't even have to bother with proper bleeding. then of course I can't really recommend doing that without sufficient experience.
Better option would be to simply use something to plug the tube, either with a plug intended for that purpose like this one (http://www.chilledpc.co.uk/shop/product_info.php?cPath=64_73&products_id=1293) or just find some object with the right dimensions, just use some spare piece of tubing to experiment what fits.

Get some large vice grips, wrap the jaws in a couple layers of felt/cloth, and clamp down hard. You'll still get a little spill when you first pop the tubes off though, no way to avoid that.

Kink the tube and use zip ties. I always do that.

+1 on that. Where I work maintaince men do the same with air lines.

They do make a tool to be able to do just that. Looks like wire cutters with a lock down thing on it. Except instead of sharpened edges, it's just plastic strips.

I have one buried somewhere, let me see if I can find it and put up a picture.

Adjustable line clamps (http://www.toolfetch.com/Category/Automotive/Vehicle_Specialty_Tools/Hose_Clamp_Pliers/KD3588.htm)

They do make higher quality ones like this
