Finally decided to upgrade my $10 pocket DMM from Radio Shack and ran across this GreenLee DM-55. Seems like a great deal for $30 and the temperature probe looks to be pretty accurate. I've tested it between 30f and 70f and it's been dead on so far.

The overall construction seems decent and the included rubber guard is a nice touch.

BTW, my RS DMM has lasted me 6 or 7 years and I have NOTHING bad to say about it. It's been through hell and back and it's still working fine(even been run over by my truck). If you want a really cheap DMM then I'd have no problems recommending it.

AHHH CRAP! Radio Shack no longer carries the pocket DMM I am referring to. Seems the only one they have know costs $29.99.

So the GreenLee DM-55 looks like an even better deal now.

I've had it down to -20f... and nope... it won't do C.
