Now i just need a monster to pop in there. I've no idea who is best and whats the biggest. I want big as it's going beside my TV so if it looks like a speaker ideal!

Haven't done wc'ing in ages

Thanks XS

i guess the original TFC monsta, if you get get your hands on it... 3x140mm, but really fat. they're out of production, though. You'd be lucky to score a used one.

you're better off looking around for FS/FT sections on hardware forums (such as this one, even) to get it. ebay isn't so great for computer parts in general

You have PM regarding a e-bay seller who was trying to sell a couple of Monsta's a couple of months ago... long shot, but he might still have'em and be selling them...

Not sure,
I would email them first to make sure it will all go smoothly.
I think the owner is called Freddy, highflow have a good name though so i wouldnt expect problems.
They stock iandh reservoirs which is how i found them.

why would anyone want a monsta?
they barely performed better than the regular rads

why do you need such a large rad?

Im trying to understand why you need something that massive.

And no sometimes bigger always isnt better.

So far Freddy has been superb to deal with from my side, fast response and very professional. I look forward to doing more business with him in the future.

HWlabs SR1 560, then trade me for two 480s..:)

I'm itching to switchover to 140mm fan formats and always liked my HWlabs 480..nice quality gear.

I'd vote for SR1 560 aswell, if you have radstand. Have such myself but had very much to mod to fit it internally. One guy in another forum bought phobya g-changer 560 .. told it's paint job was god awful (check pics in post (http://forums.overclockers.ru/viewtopic.php?p=7527890#p7527890)). Also SR1 has less FPI then phobya = better for silent fans (in external rad mount probably fans have to be ran slower for same noise level).

Specialtech and Caseking.de had some Gtx/Sr1s the last time I checked.

I got the last one @ http://specialtech.co.uk/ £125 delivered, cheers for that! :D

No PM has come through but as above i got one!

I got a rad stand off Adam aka Mudgey via his eBay shop but he's got a topic here http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=253990&highlight=Mudgey

I'm so excited about it coming, it's only a rad i know but it's MASSIVE!!!

Now to find a decent set of fans

Fans are slightly limited. Nothing equivalent to the GTs. Apparently Yate Loons 140 are value for money (?). Btw, Siliverstone Air Penetratorn 180mm got a glowing review over here.

If there's a way to mod it, this fan could be a winner. (eg pyramid shrouds to direct massive airflow)

wes: i usually take with a grain of salt all reviews outside skinnee/vapor/martin crowd :)
+ i don't like these penetrators having sleeve bearing.

Especially when you can get 2 Swifty 360 rads for the price of a single GTX420 ;).

aye, point taken. i tend to take scores from a couple of sites and tally them to see if they 'fit'.

if something's fishy, it tends to stick out like a sore thumb, eg feser's coolant review by bit-tech a couple of years back.

Sorry to revive a dead post, I'm also interested in buying a 560.

Does anyone know the distance between the mounting holes on the the hardware labs 560 radiators?Their website say 20mm but some vendors claim 15mm.

Also between the phobya gtx and sr1 which would preform the best when strapped to 2 NZXT 1300rpm fans (in push) and 5 fake yates which claim to do 2800rpm but in actuality only does 1800rpm (4 pull and 1 push).

No problems, I've just measured mine and it's 20mm and that the HW Labs Black Ice SR 560

HWLabs SR1 560 (and probably GTX aswell) has 20mm fan spacing. You can always check that in drawing of rad on their site.
