im so pissed off about monitors, at the beginning of the year i noticed that 1920x1200 started go EOL on all of the models but there were supposed to be some 1080p 120hz and 120hz 3d ready. but as of now we have no 3d ready monitors, and 2 that are 120hz for NV 3dvision and i think that 1 of them is interlaced and now there are only a few really bad TN 1920x1200 and some really expensive IPS 1920x1200. and with my trini taking a crap on me and my dynatron thats a backup worn out and i want a monitor i cannot find a monitor. its such crap, it dose not cost that much more for 1920x1200 instead of a 1080p and u can run dual link dvi to 120hz on 1920x1200. so why is there no monitors on the market that are for home PC use, all i see are some dumbed down TN tvs anymore or some $500+ ips/pva that are for photo work but even those are starting to come in 1080p and i dont get that since wouldent u want the full sized video/images and have the tools on the screen.

There's some, but they certainly are the exception rather than the rule.

Think about it though, TN vs IPS is one of the main differentiators for monitors. You'll still pay a couple hundred more for an IPS if you want the capabilities it provides. The only reason the x1200 TN monitors are more expensive these days is that there's less competition.

I've just ordered the Samsung F2380MX to compare to and possibly replace my 2-3 year old LG L246WP. If I keep it, I'll be losing an inch and resolution (23" 1920x1080 vs 24" 1920x1200) but what caught my attention is the new CPVA panel that Samsung has developed that offers the best contrast ratio any LCD monitor has ever seen. It also has very low input lag. One drawback, however, is the motion handling. I'll have to wait until I can test it before I draw any conclusions. The PMVA panel in my LG definitely isn't a speedy TN, but the motion handling is definitely good enough for me, even after enjoying the flawless motion of the 120Hz 2233rz for a week or so. Of course, since that panel was a TN, it went back due to horrible backlight bleed, horrible vertical viewing angles and overall worse image quality than the PMVA loaded LG.

What about the Dell U2410?
Thinking about it myself.

Has 1920x1200 (WUXGA), 16:10.
24inch, 6ms response and H-IPS panel.

well if you game, throw cpva out the window. What I like about cpva is the colour it puts out.

Yup. I returned it after testing it for one day. Low input lag, good color, jaw-dropping black levels and contrast, but horrible motion handling.
