Hi. I've got some questions.
According to wikipedia, HyperTransport is a "bidirectional serial/parallel high-bandwidth, low-latency point-to-point link".
1) What does serial/parallel mean ? Is it serial or parallel?
2) AMD claims that it was designed to replace the FBS but we all know that HT Bus = FSB * HTT multiplier. So, isn't HTT a FSB-based bus ?
What about QuickPath?
1)Are there still any remains of FSB? And is it just serial ?
2)What does the BCLK stay for in the BIOS. Or it is a renamed "FSB" ?
I will be waiting for your answers. Thanks :)
