So I was using Usus update utility to flash my P5Q Deluxe with the modded Mbios when I got the "failed to verify eeprom" message. The app closed so I restarted it and now it says unable to detect asus bios and closes. Everest says my bios date is 3/25/09 which was the date on the original asus bios I was using.
I really don't know what to do here and don't want to risk rebooting. Is there another flash utility that I can use from within the OS(Win7)?
How about another app that can tell me more about the bios state?

Where do I go from here?
Please don't shame me for using the asus update utility. I've used it a hundred times and never had an issue until now.

Found an older app called Bios Agent that gives me this bios id.

Have you tried the Asus CrashFree BIOS 3 auto recovery tool - it uses a USB drive preloaded with the tool and original or new BIOS. Check the website.....

I will definitely check that out.
One thing I hadn't thought about is the fact that this motherboard has dual bios.
If my bios is corrupt will the second bios take over?

Never been in a position where I used the dual bios.

Also have in mind for future use that when pci-e vga dont work ,you could try an old pci vga card to get old bios post screen and boot from USB in dos mode.Dos bios utils still works the best.
