Where can i find pure silver coils in canada?

Petratech left me for dead, they don't answer my emails anymore.

Or if someone can buy them and ship them to me, I'm willing to pay for the effort

thanks

Dude,

If you can't find them in Canada. Try this place http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/sikibyia.html . they ship world wide.

I can't remember if the PTS international e-mail address is being forwarded to Gary or if Quoc was handling that during the changeover... I'll have to double check. Either way, the PTS international program has been suspended since January (as is indicated on their website).

Like wesley said, Gary's (Sidewinder) international program is still going, so you should be able to snag some KillCoils that way.

I was told by email that all that was missing from the website is the province codes for canada.... I was told this was going to be done either tonite or over the weekend. That was about a month ago... oh well.

You could've just made your own. Any local jewelry shop should have 99.9% pure silver strips.

apparently not

the purest is .925 in jewelers, for .999 i would have to contact someone who purifies noble metals for a living.

I shopped around. alot.

I think that I'm going to give this a try and visit a few local places.
So I am pretty sure that I am not going to be able to recognize sterling from pure.

What's the worst that can happen if they pawn off sterling to me instead of pure and I stick it in my loop?

well... i would make sure its as pure as you can find.

The reason for that is in impurities, it can cause the silver to either rust, or cause a nasty reaction that you wouldnt want.

This is how i used to do it in the old days, b4 i started to annoy iandh for silver.

But you wont be able to use this type of setup in all res's.

Its a 1 troy ounce silver ingot.

99.9% Fine Silver? Ask for bezel. It is the strip soldered on top of a ring used to mount stones in jewelry.

^What he said, all of them really. A quick test to see if you've been sold sterling instead of fine, is to burn it with a gas torch, or gas lighter (blue oxidising flame preferred if you can manage it) if it goes black it's sterling, if it stay's pure or get's the slightest touch of white that rubs off (WHEN COOL!!!) then it's fine. As fine silver doesn't oxidise, ever.
