Can't someone figure out how to voltmod the card?

Don't think anybody has really tried yet have they?

Just wanted to be sure nobody was waiting in the wings with a volt mod before we all start scratching our heads. :D

It will happen... just like AMD's uber-locked chips... it will happen.

I think this is the reg. for Vdimm. #1 measures 3.21v, both #2s measure 3.33v(my 3.3v rail), and #3 measures 2.51v.

Looks like #3 is what's being passed to the ram. Does anyone know what pin on the ram is the Vdimm pin? I'd like to just make sure this reg is what I think it is. ;)

The markings on the reg are...

882
2CTA

Uh-oh... is this memory the kind that uses 3.3v? If so, then I reserve the right to delete the above. :D

Looks like I found the Vio. :) So, the ram already works off the 3.3v line... hmmmm... that'll take some different thinking then. ;) (wish someone already had these mods done)

Oooooh... looks like a sneaky plan is the order of the day then...

I wont have time to look at this till next week so good luck with the mods guys.

I think we should concentrate on a GPU mod first... that's where I think we will get our biggest gains.

But I feel that mem will be more worth while as it gives greater gain in points.

I've raised my 3.3v line to 3.45v and it didn't gain me a thing. I measured a couple of the Vdd lines on the memory chips and they were reading 3.45v so I know the voltage was getting to them.

Dunno... maybe Vddq could use a little bump.

I just think the Vgpu mod will show some immediate results... the memory may take a bit longer to finger out. ;)

Where? I'll measure it if someone points me in that direction. :)

If you're talking about the other Vregs... then yep, seems 2.00v-2.05v is what they are putting out.

Check out Holst's link... GPU volt mod has been fingered out, with a couple more of them just around the corner. :D
