would it be possible for someone to shorten an xspc restop by about .75"??

i figure they just have to take the top off, cut the top of the 4 sides .75" and then cut the bottom of the tube .75" and then just put the top back on. sounds easy enough :p: can someone do it? i could order one and have it shipped right to ya, throw ya a few bucks to fix it & pay to ship it back to me etc.

i plan on going crossfire w/ my 5850 soon but my restop stands too tall for my card to line up with its correct pcie slot. if i could shorten it about .75" it would be about the same height as my psu so i t wouldnt get in the way of my gpu any more :)

Not sure it would be possible to shorten it, but there is a small "res" top that can be used with the ddc:

thanks, i saw that awhile ago but have never seen anyone use one. anyone know how they perform? can the top be used as an inlet or does it have to be inlet on one side, outlet on opposide side?

top is inlet, either side is output. As far as performance, not really sure.

another option could be a standard xspc top and a separate res or t-line, as the standard top performs nearly as well as the res top from my experience, although the res top makes filling infinately easier.

thanks again. if the top is the inlet, is there a constant sound of running water since there is no downtube like the xspc restop? wouldnt the water fall from the inlet to the surface of the water in the res? sorry for the questions, just not sure how it works. like i said i couldnt find anyone who has used it and have seen a few posts of people saying not to get it.

i think i will have to go w/ a restop of some sort as i am kind of lacking on space :p: here you can see if i move my 5850 to the next pcie slot down (needed for xfire) the card hits the top of the restop :/
