Does anyone know if its possible to change the waterblock fittings on a maze 2?

I got it with 3/8" fittings and now need 1/2" as im getting an eheim pump and my radiator can take either although with 3/8" it really stretches it.

Any ideas where these can be bought in the UK?

If it is possible does it just screw in or do u have to screw it in and apply something to make sure its water tight?

All help much apreciated

They should screw right off, well with some force ;) Clean off the threads inside the top, wrap some teflon tape around the new barbs and screw them back nice in tight, then leaktest them.

yeh make sure u leak test and do it under a good pressure. I found that the fittings on my WW would unscrew easily when i tried to twist the tubing onto it and i was scared to overtighten it... is that normal?

You could also find a couple of reducers so you can have it go from 1/2 to 3/8 and then 3/8 back to 1/2 if you didn't wanna mess with your barbs on your WB.

would using reducers mess up the flow rate or would it not make too much difference?
I've never heard of teflon tape but ive just had a quick look at RS and found this

Is this the stuff or if not will it do the job properly? its under a pound so i like it :)
All the replacement barbs ive found in the UK are plastc ones, does this matter? or does it just effect the final look more than anything else?
Heres a quick link to the 1/4" BSPT 1/2" Barb
