View Full Version : CPU | NB/SB | GPU - One or Two Loops?

I'm starting to accumulate the parts to watercool my GPU. I'm currently running a loop on my CPU and NB/SB on my Classified E760.

Here's my current loop:
XSPC ResTop > MCP355 > Feser 360 Rad (GT1850x6 in P/P w/shrouds) > HK 3.0 Cu > EK Full Board (1/2ID 3/4OD Tygon Tubing & Bitspower Compression Fittings all around)

I scored one a Feser Quad this past weekend for $80 and was wondering if I put things together right, could I put everything in one loop, or is better to keep the CPU/NB/SB and GPU separate?

If I were to go with a single loop, would I need to add another pump?

The reason I'm asking is because I saw Vapor's post in a different thread about this subject.

If it makes a difference, I use my machine mainly for video editing...with a little gaming.

Thanks in advance!

Probably best to put NB/SB/GPU on the 360 and the CPU on the quad. or you could configure the loop so the NB/SB/GPU are inbetween the two rad's...after the 360 and before the 480. It's up to you.

The pump would have to work to have that all in a single loop, another MCP355 might be in order.

I had my Phenom II 965 BE, NB/SB, 5870 all on in 1 loop using a Swiftech MCR-320 and Thermochill PA160.

So you should be ok if you plan on using both of those rads in 1 loop, your flow rate will just suffer with all of that in 1 loop with only 1 pump.

1 loop is fine. I run 2 x GTX260 + nb/sb/pwm + i7 @ 4.4 to 4.675ghz off a single loop with a PS120.3 and a PA120.2. Push pull with Zalman F3's at 1900rpm. Temps are never a problem unless I load both gfx and cpu @ 100% (folding @ home, linx and furmark simultaneously).
