I've been playing for a few weeks now. I'm playing on Shadowfire, and put in 3-4 hours every night and spend most of the weekend on it. Which actually kinda sucks... this game is super addictive. My character is artisan 4/4/4/4, architect 0/1/1/0, marksman 0/1/2/1, and novice in a few other professions like scout and medic.

But what about the system requirements on this game? I still have the FPS drop down below 10FPS in some spots, using an A64 @ 2.6ghz, 1GB DDR, and a 9800XT @ 450/400. This is at 1280x1024 with detail levels turned all the way up (except shadows).

yeah it gets really slow for me in coronet in some places, its just lag though.

It is really addictive, I wish I could stop playing. Im going for smuggler or bounty hunter I can't decide.

Hmm maybe I have some sort of other problem then. I'll try different drivers and possibly an os reload. Last night I was seeing the framerate go all the way down to 2 FPS, and this is on a rig that could score 25K 3dmarks easily in it's existing configuration.

We must not forget that this game was created by the same people who created Evercrack, err.. Everquest. They have perfected the technique of getting people addicted to their games.

Yes, I got master marksmen in five days. I'm getting scout xp now & trying for bounty hunter.

I get bad lag in Coronet & whenever cities load. It usually goes away pretty quickly though. I have a P4 at 4.133, 5900 256, & 512 of mushkin ram.

im almost master commando, and im already getting bored of this game. PvP is what keeps me in there, and as good as it is, it seems to pick up a story when you play, but character advancement is kind of boring. The pvp though is no where as good as anarchy online IMO. The massive wars were incredible in that game, and the graphics were pretty decent. That and the cities were extremely well built. I'd recommend AO over SWG

Well I'm master artisan now and have been popping out vehicles like mad. I want to make a lot of money before switching to TK and kicking some ass in PvP.

I made over 600 apprentice xp on saturday and figured it would be worth posting how I did it. Previously I had been standing in front of the starport like everybody else advertising what I could train. Then I met up with somebody who was master doctor and 4-4-4-4 in TK, who wanted to "trade app xp". We went to the Imperial Outpost and did hunting missions (the other guy did most of the fighting). Each enemy you kill is worth 300-400 scout XP. So we built up a load of scout XP, surrendered all of our exploration skills, then went back and forth teaching and surrendering exploration 1 to each other. For every 3 enemies you kill you get 20 app xp... you do the math...

Standing in front of the starport/cantina only got me 20-100 app xp per day if I was persistent. With the exploration 1 trick I got over 600 app xp in a few hours.

I have a lot of credits & I needed App points. I told people I would train them in any marksmen skill & give them 10,000 credits ton top. Within three minutes I got about 500 App, far more then I needed.

Btw, Im a Novice BH now. I was stuck in between BH & commando but I chose BH.....still having some doubts.

bh have range, but they cant do over 10k in one hit like a nice krayt flamethrower can.... mmmmmm.. toasty ;D

Nah, i would but my friend keeps taking my money! he has like 5 mil and hes the leader of a 115+ member PA which isnt bad, but he uses my character when im not on it and steals all my money. Hes a commando tho aswell and he got one, but nah, im just using a really good regular flamer, but i plan to get one soon. After this i thought about doing weaponsmith/slicer, but not sure yet. Look me up under skyyrak or ecibob, ask for wes.
