I'm installing the EK mosfet water blocks on my board and noticed that there are 2 backplates on the chips on the back side of the mobo. Has anyone dealt with this combo? Are there EK backplates that I was supposed to order and didn't notice  ? I used the EKs utility to see what would fit on my board and didn't see any. Using original ones is not an option as the mounting is diff. And/or is it just safe to run the blocks without back plates  ? Thanks. Max

Yeah, you would need a Mosfet Backplates that are sold separately.
Don't know how much the back chips heat.

Sorry to resurrect this thread, but I'm about to buy these blocks for my P6X58D-E, and I'm wondering if these kits are what Eddy posted above?

I ask because the description is extremely vague. The product image shows one backplate. But the description says it supports 1, 3 and 3a blocks. Do I need to purchase one or two of these for this item?
