Does PSU VIO Mods Up Your Amps?

Been reading the mod for the 3.3v, 5v & 12v VIO mods but wanted to ask a few questions about whether the mods raise the max amps for thos lines.

Y'see, my 550w Antec PSU has a 24a max on my 12v line. Let's say I mod the 12v line to 12.5v for instance. Would that raise my max 24a to like 33A on my 12v line?

In other words, would it boost my max power ratings from 550w to say 600w?

i noticed that Fugger has got his PSU to 100A, does that mean that his PSU is rated at 700w now?

Any ideas/theories?

Simply put, NO, and its actually entirely opposite, increased voltage= decreased current, although we are talking such small changes it really doesn't make any difference...

I need the 12v mod done as I'm running a 9800pro (Both Vgpu & Vddr mod for 1.92v & 3.04v as well as the Vapo & Asetek Waterchill.

Since becoming a member of XS I've got a bad sickness where I want to mod anything & everything that can be modded..

I need therapy...

The only way to up the amps on a psu is to change its components. :hehe:

Now I am not an expert on every faccet of a psu, but my understanding is that unless you change the caps, you are stuck at whatever ampage you get when you buy it.

I am curious how FUGGER has gotten up to 100A.....where did you read that?

I get your point guys, just wishful dreaming on my behalf.
My Antec 550w TP doesn't like any more than 12.3v on the 12v line.
If I go any further, the PSU just doesn't start up.
Same with the other lines as well me thinks.
