I plan on using Scythe GentleTyphoon 120 mm fans for my quad Feser X-Changer rad.

What would you guys suggest for my Black Ice GT Xtreme 140 rad?

An adapter from 140 to 120.

I'm thinking of using noiseblockers 140mm PK3 too. They are very expensive though :(. If you want cheap fans, check Yate Loon D14S[L|M|H] series, sleeve bearings though instead of hydrodinamic ones @NB. I would prefer getting Gentle Typhoons too (especially because their larger motor size would matter less in larger size fans), but when i mailed Scythe, got reply that no such fans planned in nearest future. :(

An adapter from 140 to 120.

Hmm, interesting idea. You must like the 120mm fans better for some reason.

OK, so noiseblocker. I wonder how good the static pressure is. I've read that the Typhoons have great static pressure. Maybe Kurz has a good point, unless the noiseblockers have good static pressure also. Anyone have any answers on that. Any reviews or discussions on the topic elsewhere?

I like 120MM since there is so much competition.
So many good companies and fans in the sector.

Plus with the adapter you now have a shroud.

Yeah, I was thinking just that when you suggested the 120mm. I like your idea. Would like to see if anyone has some good info on 140mm fans though.

I am using these (http://www.frozencpu.com/products/9653/fan-610/Thermalright_X-Silent_140mm_x_25mm_Stealth_Silent_Fan_-_900RPM.html?tl=g36c15s775), very good flow and very low noise.
