I'm laying the ground work for a little home project I hope to be starting this summer, and I'm looking for wide range of displays all in the 19"-40" range. I was wondering if you'd have any suggestions... my needs are as follows:

Colour/contrast must be consistent across all displays
Lowest possible energy consumption as they'll more than likely be on 24/7/365
1080p quality
HDMI input
Wall-mountable

Sound/speaker quality is of absolutely no importance. Suggestions with a cost of USD$1000 or less per unit isn't essential, but would get a +1 Bonus Point.

Thanks in advance!

Take a look at some of the new LCDs with LED backlights. Those will do all the things you listed, though it's a little higher then your budget.

If you want to skip the new tech, but still have a nice LCD tv..

In 2007 i bought a 2000euros samsung tv.Very high spec for that time and among the most high priced.Last month i bought a philips 42" pfl3604 for only 450euros - 500 dollars new.And my o my,this screen is way better and only paid one quarter!
Therefore my advice on tvs is to buy the cheapest from a respected manufacter and upgrade every two years.
