I'm planning on putting together a new system soon, and will most likely go with WC. It will be my first WC build, so I just want to make sure I'm not missing any vital components. Sorry for this similar thread. :)

My components would be:
apogee xt
swiftech mcr320
swiftech mcp655
swiftech micro res
10ft. primoflex pro lrt uv red 1/2 ID 3/4 OD...
hose clamps 7/32 to 5/8 in
2x 120mm scythe fans (68cfm, 24dba)
???fittings???

This would be for a CPU loop, and would be in a HAF932. I will upgrade the rad to a 320 if it fits inside the case (does it?). Thanks.

320 rad is the way to go. Other looks fine to me.

But I would go for EK supreme HF.

^^go for the block that you like the look of most. as none of them really have any true performance gains..

looks good  other than you also need a pump top?

I was under the impression that the pump would come with everything I need. After googling "pump top" I found out it's just the piece that connects the tubing, right? So isn't the pump top on already in this picture?

Thanks for helping me look over this list :)

Pump top (http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/ekwaekxforla.html).

You should be able to get the MCR320 in a HAF 932. Also, make certain you have fittings and I would order a couple extra ft of tubing so you have plenty if you make a mistake. :)

As for CPU, get what you like. The temp difference isn't much between the top 3 blocks and flow rates won't matter much in a CPU only loop.

What do the pump tops actually do? Good news about the 320 then, looks like I'll go for that.

Also, I can't seem to find any 3/4" OD fittings, at least at petrastechshop... show me the right direction, lol

Your not going to either, well, at least not at any of the regular water cooling shops. For 1/2" I.D. tubing, you want 1/2" fittings.

Ah I see. Anyway, whats a good choice for a 1/2" fitting? There are so many choices out there.

D-Tek or Koolance

Major, that kit actually looks like a pretty good deal for the price and it has most of what I'm already getting. I think I'm going to go with a 3x120 rad though, because I plan on WCing my gpu eventually. I've compiled a list, and it comes out to around ~320$ w/o shipping. Could I do any better than this?

Slipstreams suck on rads. Better off going with Yate Loon SM's or SH's, Scythe GT's (1450 or 1850), or Scythe S-Flex (E's or F's).

I was going to use plain distilled water in this loop. If I got a few anti microbial fittings, would I still need biocide of some sort? A fitting like this (http://www.jab-tech.com/Bitspower-True-Silver-G1-4-High-Flow-1-2-Barb-BP-SLWP-C01-pr-4397.html). Thanks.

Actually i would Suggest getting EK Supreme HF as it is less restrictive than the Swiftech XT and because you are getting a D5 pump and it works better in less restriction loops,i would get distilled water with either Ptnuke or .999 pure silver

Ptnuke:http://www.petrastechshop.com/peptpcobi1.html
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/8319/ex-liq-140/PetrasTech_PT_Nuke_-PHN_Concentrated_Biocide_10mL.html

Silver Strip:http://www.petrastechshop.com/sikibyia.html

If you get about 4 of those fittings, you will be fine for silver.

Gentle Typhoons 1450/1850 are my pick for fans.

I would also pass on that sleeving and get some from here (http://en.mdpc-x.com/) instead. :D

I wouldn't bother with that pump bracket either. The EK top has a mounting plate for it and with that gel pad and the pump bolted to the floor of the case, there shouldn't be any vibrations.

Those hose clamps are going to be a PITA to get on and off. You can use zip ties or they have thumb clamps that work real well. If you go for the thumb clamps make sure they work for your OD.

Only in certain spots. I've used them before and as long as you plan out the build and have them facing in directions you can get a screwdriver to them, they not bad.

But yea, these clamps (http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=59_298&products_id=25625) are nicer and look nicer.

Been using them for years, they are easy to get off and on, dunno what any issues you have.

I have opposable thumbs?

Alright great information guys. I'll be going with a kill coil now as it seems like the most straightfoward and simple choice. As for the clamps, I do like those koolance clamps, so I'll look into those. I'm getting a lot of recommendations for the EK Supreme too, and I can see how if I added a GPU into the mix later on, the less restrictive block would be more desirable. I'll get rid of the mounting bracket too. Thanks for the information guys.
