Just get distilled water from your local supermarket or hardware store. Your linked product is Saline . If your not mixing metals then use Distilled water and pure silver (rod or strip) for biocide.

Are you sure it wasn't deionised? I've been at couple stores (Scotland) and there was only deionised.
I ended up ordering online from some chemical company for some ridiculous price (though still cheaper than Feser Pure).

Shouldn't drugstores have distilled water?

If you do a search for "distilled or deionized water," you should find several threads dealing with this issue.

Note that it seems distilled water is not readily available in the UK, as this has come up a number of times.

If you go distilled, just use some silver or a few drops of biocide. Deionized as sold by Halfords will work as well.

I can't find any reasonably-priced distilled on froogle, pretty weird heh. I ended up buying some de-ionised from Homebase for £1 a litre and a bottle of Nanoxia stark. I really need to source some cheaper stuff but my local drugstore only has "purified" or something. They couldn't tell me if it was properly distilled.

edit: I spoke too soon!

5L for £3.99 should do me for now.

Yup! drug stores, gas stations, super markets and hard ware stores etc.
Drug stores are usually slightly more expensive, but you could assume they got the best stuff as well...

I've dug out the details of the chemical company where I got my distilled water from - did not have enough courage to buy from fleebay :D

http://www.reagent.co.uk/buy-distilled-water.html

£7.50 for 5L bottle.
Made sense to get 2x 5L, worked out ~£2.30 for 1L delivered.

I may be too cautious here but I wouldn't use deionised except for flushing...

Deionized water is just distilled water

Deionized water is just distilled water

Nope, deionised is not the same what distilled.
Only distilled water is near 100% pure, deionised is less as it may leave stuff behind:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Purified_water

The ebay product in the first post is misleading as it is named distilled but it is actually deionised.

Deionized water is just distilled water

Simply put, no.

Deionized water isn't all created equal either, I would use DI made with an ionic exchange column in my computer, whereas I would NOT use DI made by an organic removing tower.

Distilling water, after all, is simply matter of boiling it and condensating steam. BTW, if being anal about purity, simply distilling water using this process will not remove all contaminants from the water. Contaminants such as toluene and other organic compounds must sometimes be filtered out of distilled water using a carbon filter. Few links quickly googled up:

There are also some electric home water distillers one can buy.

One of simple DIY schemes to get distilled water:

A silver coil for a fiver is all you need unless mixing metals.

***sigh*** - the search tool is a good thing: first page of search results for "distilled deionized water (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/search.php?searchid=19982180). Takes a moment to glance down the page and find a number of relevant threads.

As has been said - distilled and deionized water are not the same. There are also differences in purity within sources of distilled and deionized water. That said, the majority of commercially available distilled AND deionized water will work fine for water cooling your PC. Check out some of the referenced threads for very detailed discussion on this topic.
