Sorry if this is a noob question but...

I've noticed that the Bitspower Matte Black compression fittings are out of stock everywhere (in UK) for a few months now. Can I just buy some cheap generic ones and paint them? Seems like such an obvious thing so it's probably not gonna work, otherwise everyone would be doing it...

Yep, should work fine. There was a post in a build log recently where someone did exactly this, threaded them all on a section of dowel and sprayed them black - but I can't find it for the life of me.

Why not try the Black EK one`s they look good but if you need to spray some then use etch primer first as it eat`s into the metal in little to help the top coat hold on better.

SoulsCollective: thanks, I will try and hunt that log down.

clone38: I saw the EK ones but they are not available in 1/2" ID / 3/4" OD which is what I use. Thanks for the tip, I've been reading up on how to paint metal for a build I'm planning so already have some etch primer coming. :)

I had to import some bitspower matt fittings for the US the other week as the UK is out of them, you could try these they are in europe so there will be no customs charge`s.

Thank you! :)

That looks great, even using the same colour tubing as I am. Can't wait to try it now!

Actually using a Self etching primer and a normal primer will do the trick ;) i suggest using Duplicolor Self etching primer and Duplicolor Sandable primer stay away from the combination of the Duplicolor Self etching primer and the Duplicolor Filler primer because i read somewhere they aren't a good combination
