there seem to be hundreds of members registered here that have no posts. Maybe you guys want to delete their accounts to create space or something?

I was a member here for months before I posted. We have members all the time will post and say they have been coming here and checking out the forum without posting. How would you know which ones to delete?

I know of several with 0 posts who became members to PM me since I left other forums.

Some stay and eventually post, some don't...

Any whose been here for 2+ years & hasn't posted should be deleted. If they happen to check the forums, then they can notify you by PM. You have to admit, their is certainly some dead weight there.

how do they pm without an account we deleted??

the forums are big enough - the hardware can handle a few accounts.

Give them 30 or 60 days notice

Anyways, its just a suggestion, you guys defintely seem competant in my book. This place is the one place where you can actually post huge pics. A lot of other places I go to have limits & such.

heck, you even allowed me to have a SETI sig in an almost 100% f@h forum!:)

It doesnt really matter, member pruning doesnt need to happen in fact very few forums actually do prune their members. Im not entirely sure but from what I can gather, O/C has 35,000 members right? Their traffic I think is not as much as the traffic at XS yet they still have 35,000 members so roughly they only have up to 200 people max viewing the site or on the forums thus they never prune their members.

They have more members, 35,000 when XS has 5,000 but less traffic thus they havent pruned members. Not only that, but the site is fast, so is XS. Its not excess baggage at all by having these members that dont post.

OC has somewhere around 1500 active members.

Yet their traffic is less according to Alexa, anyway, for a site that has so many members, their traffic is very low consideringthey have 7 times more membership than XS has yet XS traffic is much higher.

Well, yes. But I think Traffic is bandwidth used?

If so us being able to attach all the images uses lots of bandwidth. Along with lots of links going here for guides on Vmods and just because we are XS, and we have the top benchers here.

most forums have allot of members who have no posts.

I dont see any harm in them.

New people quite often PM me, Ill help them but ill also ask them to start a thread.. new people are sometimes not confident in posting... were not all blabbermouths like CCW :P

Good point Holst. When I first joined here, I already knew about overclocking and stuff, but my first thing I read here was Kunaak's thread where people post pics of their systems.

I just felt totally outclassed.
