CPU = AMD PII 720 BE (Unlocked and OC @3.4 Ghz)
Working CPU at 100% for 2 hours give this result.

CPU temp = 45C
SYSTEM temp = 36C

Is this temp ok for AMD on Water cooling.

One more thing when i touch my rad while system is 100% it feels hot.. is it normal or any thing wrong...

Please Reply..

if your temps are under 50c at load, I cant see how that wouldnt be ok? i havent played around with AMD's for a while now so I'm not sure what their normal temps are but to me that sounds like great temps.

And if the rad is hot when the system is under load, then it sounds to be like its doing it's job well. Removing the heat from the water to the radiator (which again is cooled by the fans).. So I'm not really sure why you think there is anything wrong :O

Well, that's a bit high, but not excessive for that level of cooling (1 x 120mm radiator). Could try some higher speed fans to get better temps.

Thanks for replying .. i was little worry about the temperature... When my cpu was running at 100% for 2 hours and i touched the rad .. and found that it was hot... so i checked the temp using Biostart bundled Hardware monitor utility and it showed CPU temp 45C .

CPU temp(software) just dont work on Unlocked AMD cpu it shows 0c. on all four cores.

Everest Monitor tool shows 40C on CPU, it think it is also having some problem with unlocked stuff.

Any more AMD users reply..

High speed fans make too much noise... i like my system to be silent.

On Ideal my CPU temp is = 35-36C
system = 30C.

Looks like some of my old waterblocks when you had to make your own!!! Before you could buy them 10 years ago

it means your radiator is currently supporting the cpu at it's maximum available capacity (actually >60°C is the safety limit)

if you want better temps, either if you have a large radiator, or more radiators ... the more cooling (copper) surface you have, the better the heat dissipation ...

or either having very high CFM fans (i dun like the sound either)

if you don't mind having more tasks, you could muffle the fan noise by using proper air ducting. but it wont be that simple nice looking.

btw, good job on the modding
keep up the good work :)

I believe the maximum safe continual operating temperatures for AMDs are in the region of 65. Anything below 50 I reckon is good.

if rads hot you can assume its working but maybe get a bigger one... also that tubing doesnt look to healthy with that slight kink.

Could you please list the loop componets for us? I'm very curious about that cute little pump.

it looks like he doesnt have fans on the rad, but temps are good, max spec temps are 73C actually, for a 720BE.

AMD SPEC SHEET FOR 720BE (http://products.amd.com/en-us/DesktopCPUDetail.aspx?id=522&f1=AMD+Phenom%E2%84%A2+II+X3&f2=&f3=&f4=512&f5=AM3&f6=C2&f7=45nm+SOI&f8=&f9=4000&f10=&f11=&f12=True&f13=)

that custom case + watercooling set-up is AWESOME man, very nice job!:up::up:

I couldn't find anything exactly like that one but I did find one that had some similarities...it had something like .7m lift on it, very under powered.

Actually, I think there is a fan on the back of the rad. It looks like some sort of home made clip is holding it on.

@rakesh_sharma23, Is that rad made of aluminum or copper? If aluminum, the problems are 2 fold for you, 1 is eventual corrosion and 2 is that aluminum rads don't work anywhere near as well as copper/brass ones do. Another problem is your pump, as I stated above, it looks to be very under powered from what most of us use. Heck, it may even be under powered for the German low flow guys. If you have a link or the specs on it, could you please post so we can confirm?

Should be about right.. looks like good air/entry water judging by temps.

Looks cool imo :)

Thank you all for your kind replies..

As per pump it is a local make submergible pump used in water dispanser, very small AC pump with head flow of 300L/h upto 1m height and silent too..
I have modded it for inlet and outlet. cost me about in US$ (approx $8)

As per fan cover for rad, i like to share few pics
2mm Acrylic sheet for making a cover for the radiator.
Bending the sheet for required shape.

Yes the flame torch dose the job quickly..

Let’s see how it will look

Finally done with the shape.

Finally its 1:00 am and I am finish with the rad cover.. Only few holes for the fan and cover screw remains…

And finally for rad and corresion thing. It is a heat core coil.

And i modded to this.
http://i46.tinypic.com/a9wfns.jpg

It is made up with aluminium alloy and it is treatred to resist galvanic corrosion....This has been certified by the car manufacturer..
So no worry.

Thanks

Very nice!

I miss the old days of watercooling here in USA before you can buy everything. Now I see lots of great DIY builds in Brazil, India, and other countries much like back then in the US.

45C is a very reasonable load temp, not amazing but not bad either.
