What normally happens when you blow a cap? My parents called me and said their computer went black. After the requisite "is it plugged in, redo the cables, are the lights on?" etc... I went on over. It had my 7600GT from ages ago in it. I pulled it out to check the dust coverage and EVERY SINGLE cap was blown. Every cap on the card. Is that normal? I pulled my ol zalman heatsink off and tossed the card in the trash. I thought it was odd though.

wow, EVERY cap? mind taking it out of the trash and posting a pic? ;) there were no other problems with the computer? i'm hoping the psu didn't blow and take everything with it....

Card probably works still, just replace the caps.

Pull the card out of the trash and send it to me. I will take it! :) Caps and be replaced.
