View Full Version : Modify 3 way SLI bridge into 2 way?

Want to SLI two EVGA GTX285s on my x58 LE motherboard.
The single flexible bridge is WAY too long.
I can get generica shorter ones (1 5/8") on ebay and such.
Is it possible to simply cut the extra portion of a 3 way bridge off and use the rest to SLI 2 cards?
Using a 3 way isn't possible as I have an ATI internal cablecard tuner as well....it just won't fit!

that dosnt seam like a good idea since i dont think that u use 2 bridges for sli and it may not be wired the same

if thats the case then it will work, but i dont think that its a good idea to cut it

bro, just order one on fleabay. I think EVGA and other retailers sell them. Including newegg.

problem solved....
The problem was the flexible bridge was to long and ugly if im not mistaken so your fix there is a fail

I found proper length solid ones on ebay and they worked out perfectly! They are made by WinFast and were cheap enough so I ordered a few of them to mess about with...

its not like the bridge is electrically conductive except for the covered pads, so what i think that he was saying why not just put the bridge on and leave it hang over/next to the tv card

so I figured he really meant, it won't fit.
