Ok guys, my system turns on then off then on and off.
It will do this all day, each cycle is about 4 seconds or so.

I was playing BFBC2 yesterday and got the BSOD(have got this before)
but only when playing the BFBC2 beta.

I have removed memory, both GPU,s tried a different PSU
and reset CMOS along with removing battery.
It still cycles on-off-on-off continuosly.

The only other two things i can think of are the mobo
or CPU, both of which are about 2 years old.

System is
Asus Rampage formula socket 775.
CPU is Q66.
Memory is 2x2 gigs of OCZ reapers
4890,s in CF
both PSU,s are (new) seasonic X750 and older (working) antec NEO 650.

What do you guys think?
I have already ordered a new mobo as this is what i think
is the culprit. The Q66 is a pretty tough CPU so i think
(hope) it is ok.

maybe lower the overclock.

If this wasn't an already built system I'd say something shorting the mobo. Probably a long shot, but try taking it out of the case and testing there.

I'm having the same issue with my PC.
Even with the motherboard 'outside' of the case on an anti-static bag, & swapping the ram, hdd, gpu, and cpu, for known good-ones, it still powered off/on/off, etc.

General consensus on other forums excluded the PSU, so I RMA'd the motherboard.

I also ordered a new motherboard...
When I powered-up the new motherboard, the same thing happened.
So, I measured the voltages across the PSU, which checked-out (and will confirm with Corsair Monday-morning).

My thoughts are;

-the first mobo I RMA'd has a faulty BIOS (waiting to receive-back)

-the new board was bad, same hardware fault....(what are the chances of that)?

Ok so after replacing the ASUS Rampage mobo with the new Gigabyte P45 UD3P
it is now working.

Man these kentsfields (Q66) are tough.
This one has lived thru 2 murdered mobo,s from phase change cooling
and one watercooled, Most of its life has been at 3.6 to 3.8ghz and sometimes
up to 4.2ghz.

I'm going to bet on the dual PSU setup.

+1 for PSU...

Dont think he's using a dual-PSU setup. He said he tried both PSU's.

Might want to check to see that something isn't shorting the motherboard.

Stability problems much like this one need to be handled not by replacing hardware, but by stressing various components such as the RAM and CPU. With OCer boards, the slightest of settings can cause instability and generally not recommended for those who don't want to mess with them.
