Hey there!
I've got one of those 9800NP 256mb DDR2 cards (yes NP)
when running 3dmark2003 it seems to make really wierd static noises, they're not THAT loud but thats not the issue here, I am wondering why its making these sounds.
With the GeForce FX series of cards, this is a known problem and it cannot be solved and does no damage to the Gcard.
If I remember rightly my other 9800PRO (softmodded) did this sometimes too, after some heavy 3d apps.
Anyone else suffer from this? You probably can't hear it with the side panel on and fans running, but just take ur side panel off and listen to it while running 3dmark 2k3.
Also the ramsinks on the card are really hot.
ITs running @ NP speeds right now.
Is 4899 in 3dmark2003 about right? My PRO scored 5250.
