It has worked ok on F@H for months, switched it here and did fine for about a week. Now it is erroring out most of the time. Finished one WU in 2 days. No OC on anything, heat not an issue at all, nothing changed. Had latest driver and 6:10:18. WinXP 32. Installed 195.xx and same thing.

Put it on another machine that has another 8800GT in it that the 2 together did F@H for a long time in same machine. Boinc saw it fine showed both GPUs but project would not send work, kept saying already max 2 WUs. Tried Updating and resetting and still nothing. Boinc kept asking for work every few minutes and was rejected. Went to project site, made a change in settings and hit update and it still showed 1 GPU on project site. Boinc shows 2. After an hour I put it back on first machine and it finished one WU and failed 4.

Checked forums and no one else is reporting alot of errors. None of my other 3 are having errors.

Trying it on F@H now.

Hey PG, I have a rig running GpuGrid with an 8800GT and it's running just fine. I have another with 2x 8800GSs and GpuGrid simply will not send it work. I have no idea why, so it's on collatz atm. It's a new situation that just started last week. That rig has run GpuGrid for over a yr. I'm assuming it's a project issue....

Just guessing here ... what is the diff in memory between GT and GS?
IIRC ... at one point GPUGrid lowered the memory threshold parameter, maybe it got goofed back to the old setting with all the beta and change versions they have been pushing lately?

The problem card is 256meg.

It just finished a F@H WU with no errors.

I flat lost a 260-216 last month. It shorted the 12VDC lines and is totally gone. I still have it on the bench here. but it's pretty toasted. It's the first chunk of hardware I've fried just from crunching. Not bad considering how much junk I run....:rofl:

Since starting this thread the card has completed 7 F@H WUs and no errors. So i do not know what happened. None of my other cards have had an error.

Not sure what to tell you, PG. Personally, I think it's a project issue. I have "Use Central Processing Unit (CPU)" = no. ACMED beta = no. That seems to help. I currently have 1 8800GT on GpuGrid....the other 2 just don't want to run it.

Some days I oughta just stay in bed. Ever since trying to get the XFX 8800GT to get WUs in the machine with the EVGA the EVGA times (http://www.gpugrid.net/results.php?hostid=42670&offset=0&show_names=0&state=3)have gone up about 1.6 hours. Went from less than 45k secs to 51k. :(

What is a OK OC for a 8800GT. At 675/1775 now.
