Someone should buy it, as a trophy.

GTX 295 CO-OP Liquid Splash WTF Edition X2.

God, I can't stop laughing - you guys read the description, right?

------------------
it got a bunch of distilled water spilled on while running

i took it aprt and dryed it off with hair dryer

my friend tried it in his rig

it started windows but it had some screens thad had dot patterns on them

i dont know much elce my only pci-e motherboard is dead

it has happened before but usually it just refuse to boot untill dry

this timeit may still have water under the chips

even if its not the water

you can most likley get it to run as 2nd card in a sli setup

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On Feb-05-10 at 20:39:29 PST, seller added the following information:

the distilled water came from the pc watercooling system.

one of the fittings leaked when i was adding coolant.

its a gtx 295 co-op card

i include all of the original card cooling

it can be easily converted back to looking like factory version.

The small zip ties actually work great for that purpose and lots of experienced builders use them.

I pull them down tight with needle nose pliers then trim the end off with two on each fitting.

They look very neat when done properly.

Yea zip ties work fine!!!

Plus Ive filled up while my pc was on... its fine and safe as long as your not a spastic.

Also, isnt distilled water SUPPOSED to not be electronically conductive... i.e. the whole point why its used in PC watercooling, so that if you DO spill any, then it should be fine.

I also thought the DIY cooling was actually quite inspired!

Depends if the water that dropped on the Grafix card was clean distilled water.
Once it gets dirty it becomes conductive i believe.
And then it also depends on if this guy told the truth about how it died.

Got my previous grafix card wet twice. Both times the CPu block was leaking at the fitting (stupid me forgot to switch the o-ring). Dryed it and it worked perfectly.

ps.
i also use zipties. 1 zip tie per fitting. Have used worm clamps and them Swiftech thingies. Out of the 2 the swiftech clamps r best but they are a crime to get off the fitting.

mcmeat51

yea but like he said when you take distilled water and fill it with particulates I.E. dust it becomes conductive.

RoadconeTuning
02-17-2010, 10:34 AM
distilled water is used because its much harder for bacteria to grow and has fewer chemicals in it... with that said i wash my parts with tap water and dry them then fill with F1 because it looks pretty... otherwise id use tapwater and some ptnuke or something...

Neox69
02-18-2010, 12:27 AM
Well I said I have seen the light.... I thought zip ties didn't cut it, but I was wrong. I apologize for my previous comments. I also only have used the worm clamps and the Swiftech clamps, which I agree are a pain to remove. Maybe next time I will try the ziptie idea. :)
