Greetings all,

Well i will be starting to build my new PC soon. Specs are:

i7-920
x58 classified
12gb corsair dominator gt
2 xfx 5870 gfx cards

Problem is, i need to get a new monitor (as im using an older asus 22" at the moment).

What does everyone recommend for my system. In regards to price range, i dont have a clue, so just throw ideas up here.

If it helps i live in Australia.

Also as a side note, i will also be hooking it up to my 46" Series 6 Samsung LED. Has anyone had any experience with how the picture looks on it through the PC.

This monitor will be mainly used for gaming.

Regards,
Matt

I have a 46" Toshiba Regza that I use as my main with a LG W3000H as secondary. As long as you disable all scaling features on the TV itself the image will be very very crisp.

If you intend to use it for gaming make sure you use Game Mode, though I dont know if the Samsung panels actually cut down display latency with it like the Toshiba's do. You will need to re-adjust the color settings in game mode as well since most manufacturers use a very overly constrasted image in game mode.
