Macbook OSX slow video, other issues

Hi guys, my girlfriend runs mac and tbh I don't know my way around the apple software. Recently videos, such as facebook video messages, and skype, are running slow. Funny thing is I don't think it's flash, because youtube runs just fine. Any ideas? Only thing that has changed as of recent is a brand new hard drive.

other than making sure you're software is up to date i would suggestion reinstalling all the programs you can. could be software or hardware. difficult to say.

You should run AHT off of the recovery discs just to eliminate hardware as the issue.
