View Full Version : How do I know when a CPU is unlocked correctly ?

I have access to all multipliers 5 to 15

13 boots at 5
14 boots at 5
15 boots at 5.5

Is this right

SYSTEM SPECS

XP2100+ (HOPEFULLY UNLOCKED)
EPOX 8K5A2+ MB
SAMSUNG 512MB PC2700
RAGE 32MB 128 PRO
80 GIG MAXTOR 133 HD

You'll know when it's unlocked correctly when all your multipliers work from the lowest to 12.5 :)

Uhg I'm stupid. When you unlock the 2100+, you only have access to the lowest up to 12.5X... you can't use those ones you're using, and that's why it's booting at those low multipliers ;) Silly me for not thinking of that quicker.

Thaen I think it is unlocked but I cant seem to get much better than when the cpu was locked ,although the system is much more stable

The max I could get when locked was 145 times 13 multi (quite unstable)

Now I am running 175 times 11 (very stable)

Any other suggestions on how to get more will be greatly appreciated


anything over that wont boot ,does the video card have a lot to do with it ,if so what should i look for when getting a new 1.
