I do tons of high def video encoding H264. My current setup is listed in my sig.
I have thought about going to a QuadCore i7 but going by some of the CPU charts it dosen't look like it would make to much of a differance to make it worth while.
I was also looking at a dual CPU server setup using 2 low end Quad Xeons. Can't afford the high end Xeons. :(
Does using 2 Xeons even give you double the performance? I would be surprised if it does.
